grant program
Perform with the Alexandria Choral Society
and earn a $1,0000 grant for your music program! ​
The Alexandria Choral Society is pleased to announce our 2024-2025 Sing-Off Grant Program and request for applications. ACS will select a youth ensemble to perform during our March 2025 concert, entitled “Washington Women,” which will be held on International Women’s Day, Saturday, March 8th, at the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, VA.
The selected ensemble will have an opportunity to present two to three choral works on their own and a final larger work with ACS. The ensemble will also earn $1,000 in grant funding to support their music program.

Applications are due to ACS by Friday, November 22nd, 2024 at 11:59 PM.

Eligibility

Ensembles must consist of no fewer than 12 and no more than 40 singers.

Each application must include a performance video submission that is no older than 10 months and accurately represents the applicant ensemble. Audio quality of the recording must be clear. The recorded performance video must present one or more choral works at least two minutes in length in any language.

For this grant cycle, we encourage treble ensembles to apply to coincide with our concert theme “Washington Women.”
